I just wanted to pass on our thanks for everything you did for Kens service – it was a lovely service and I think has helped my family to feel that they have done their best for him; it was also really appreciated that you located where his fathers ashes were and we were able to scatter in the same area.

Sentiments are a caring funeral directors who work with attention to detail. Many of the employees have much experience in this field. I have worked with them many times and found that their clients have been very pleased with their personal approach at a difficult time.
I would like to say a big ‘Thank you’ to you and all the people at Sentiments for all your courtesy and kindness shown to myself and my family on our sad bereavement. You helped to mak the unbearable, bearable and I will never forget your great kindness and thoughtfulness in everything that you did for us.
Thank you, once again
“You can’t improve on perfection, Thank you so much, you were all so kind and friendly, the way you dealt with everything. Which is what is needed at this very sad time in a persons & loved one’s life”
Mrs Amanda Kent
(for the late Doris Irene Binnie)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sentiments for the dignified and professional way the funeral was conducted, and a special thanks to Julie for her support and assistance throughout the process.
22-Jan-2015 by Janet Kurz
Second to none would recommend them to anyone do a brilliant job I can’t thank them enough for what they have done for members of my family my brother Steve Oswin and nephew Andrew Stones
I would like to say a big thank you to all concerned with the memorial service last Saturday. It was very memorable and very distinguished.
Mrs A D Spencer
Dear Simon and Sentiments
I really don’t know where to start because thank you just isn’t enough.
My darling Jim passed away 7-Oct-14 and from when you were contacted at 02:00am you did a first class job. You were understanding, patient and above all, very professional in what you do.
You rang the next morning at 10:00am just like you said you would and the first thing you asked was ‘how was I’ and that’s what was so comforting.
You arrived the day after and nothing was too much trouble, you listened to what we wanted but also wrote Jim’s wishes, which was very comforting.
When someone first passes away, you do not have a clue as to where to start, you put everything into place and that took so much pressure off a grieving family.
I wasn’t sure if I was going to see Jim in the chapel of rest but you were lovely and talked me through the heart rending process. I’m glad I got one last chance to say my goodbyes.
The dreaded Friday came, you were there, every step of the way, as sad as it was, you made our day so special and myself and my family will be forever grateful.
Thank you so much,
Love from Ann & Family (Barnard)
On behalf of all the family I write to thank you, most sincerely for your outstanding, supportive and professional service for the funeral of the late Graham Markham.
You and the rest of your staff were extremeley supportive throughout the whole process and displayed great understanding, sympathy, empathy and professionalism.
If ever I was so lucky enough to win the lottery you would be my very first person to give money to. But then Sentiments would be a very sad place without you.
That would be no disrespect to Sentiments Funeral home because I could never express the gratitude to you and Sentiments. The service from start to finish and all the care taking care of my Bob was so wonderful. Everything I requested you to do for me Julie you did and in such a caring way. I will never forget it. All my Bob’s family in the U.S.A was so impressed with the service and they all passed wonderful comments on you walking in front of my Bob’s coffin. They said you walked with such dignity and respect, and how wonderful your attire looked on you. The same was also said in all my family here in the UK.
They said the whole of Sentiments did a wonderful job sending my wonderful Bob to heaven some people say angels are only in heaven. That is not true. They come in human form on this earth. I know because you are one of those angels, I thank God for sending you to me in my time of such need. Once again Julie thank you for making everything go to plan on Bob’s funeral. X
I will be forever grateful to you Julie
My angel, my friend

Thank you so much for your help and guidance for John’s funeral. Although obviously a very sad time for me and my family, we all thought the day went perfectly, thanks to you all at Sentiments.
Just would like to say a big thank you, for all that you have done for my step dad Michael John (Mike) Hickson. I know if he was looking down he would have been please. You have been so helpful and once again would like to say thank you for all that you have done.
Keith & Sue Baldock-Grimes
On behalf of my family I should like to express our sincere thanks for your assistance in guiding us through this difficult time. Thankfully, bereavement is not something which happens often but this unfamiliarity can make the situation even harder to deal with. We are particularly grateful to Lee whose calm and professional approach helped us through the practicalities and allowed us to concentrate on the loss of our father. We felt confident and reassured that our father would be treated with respect and care and this was a huge comfort.
Once again we are extremely grateful for your help and would not hesitate to recommend your services.
Mr Malcolm Nutbrown
Just to say a big thank you to everyone for your care and understanding, and for looking after us on each and every visit we made to the funeral home after my husband Mally’s very sudden and sad death and even more so on the day of the funeral.
Special thanks to Gary for looking after us through-out with so much caring help and support, nothing was too much trouble for you. This is naturally a very sad time for anyone faced with a bereavement but it was made a little easier to bear with your help in dealing with everything for us. You are true professionals at your job.
Your motto is “Say goodbye the way you want to” this is so apt and so very true of Sentiments. It’s the little things that count so much as well, like Mally’s wedding ring given back to me in a proper ring box, and the memorial cards given to us, such lovely and touching thoughts for us to keep and treasure.
George, you have a business, staff and funeral home to be very proud of.
Many thanks again
Jo Nutbrown and Family
We would like to thank Gary for the way he looked after us all after the passing of John Limon, he made us feel Dad was in safe hands, we could not believe how good Dad looked and instead of tears at seeing him, it brought happiness as he looked so well after years of pain and suffering.
So thank you Gary from us all
To all at Sentiments
I would like to say a very big thank you to the most professional team at Sentiments Funeral Home. I could not have asked for a better service for my mother, Gary and the team were most empathetic and professional with the service that they provided.
They made the funeral a lot easier to cope with.
Once again a very big thank you.
We have been associated with three Funerals over the past few years just like many other such people in the Grimsby area. But all our family have been truly impressed by your companies staff for there kind help, consideration and most of all “True Professionalism” during the sad loss of our “Dad”.You have a company to be very proud of, and of course supported by your excellent staff! Gary Walters is a true professional, and all the family wish to express our sincere thanks. Many people at the Funeral passed several very rewarding comments, not only for your own staff but also to Lee Grant who conducted the proceedings the way we all wanted.
Many thanks to you all.Kind Regards, Martin Graham & Family.
Very pleased with every aspect
Thank you so much for the excellent way you cared for the needs of our family at this sad time. We were very pleased with every aspect of the arrangements.

Professionalism and care
Just a quick thank you for your professionalism and care, shown to my family and I while helping sorting out the arrangements for my father’s funeral. I’m now back in Canada, and my sisters are keeping me up to date in pereperation of Fridays service.

On behalf of his mum Cheryl, we would like to thank Sentiments for making sure we were left with a picture of this cheeky chap embedded in our hearts forever.
Thanks to Lee Grant, who relaid all his many antics to all his carers. We would like to thank Bliss for the catering and taxiing, and all the many people who attended and offered us their support.

Margaret, Mark & Colleen Collins
I cannot thank you enough for how every little detail was handled and that it was ensured that what was provided was what I wanted and not as I have experienced before, what the funeral director wanted me to have.
I would certainly recommend you to anyone who has lost a loved one. Just knowing you were there at the end of a phone and that you would really listen to whatever concerns or queries I might have and try to resolve them for me, made it so much easier for me to cope.
Please accept my grateful thanks for providing an exceptionally good service which you should be very proud of.
My name is Karl Mawson and I would like to say thank you for what you done for my grandfather Mr Harold Leak.
On behalf of the family I would like to say again thank you for everything what you did for the funeral.
Gary & the team
You guys did the “perfect job” respectful all the way.

Above the call of duty
I wondered if I could thank Sentiments Funeral Directors.
My nanna passed away suddenly and Sentiments have dealt with the appropriate funeral arrangements. At a time of grief and loss, Sentiments has given utmost empathy, compassion, consideration and courtesy.
Nothing has been too much trouble. They have given constant kindness to my family, always been at the end of the phone to help my mum and dad in arrangements, and have gone above the call of duty.
My family cannot give enough thanks for their kindness and dignity shown to my nanna, Isabel Mallett.
Their support is beyond recognition and has truly helped in the loss of our loved one.
Particular thanks to Lee, who has been there for us all.
Top care at a bad time
Please may we, through your website, express our gratitiude to Mark Richards and the team at Sentiments Independent Funeral Home.
We had the unfortunate tragedy of losing both our Mum and Dad within five weeks of each other last summer.
Sentiments gave us an impeccable service and kept us informed in a most compassionate way of all proceedings.
They guided us professionally and with great consideration. Our dealings with them have now come to an end as the final procedure has been completed, which was the placing of the headstone.
We couldn’t have asked for a better service. Thank you.
Paul & Iris Tuplin, Billy & Marie Tuplin, Charlie & Anne Tuplin, Kath & Dave Baker, Teresa & Ron Streeter, Glynnis & Scott Brewer, the grandchildren and families.
Could I say a big thank you to George and all the staff at Sentiments for their invitation to yet another lovely memorial service at St Hugh’s Church.
It was good to hear the lovely vioces of the humber Belles and Father Terry conducted a very moving service, and the buffet afterwards was as big as ever. It was much appreciated.
Hope everyone involved had a very happy christmas and all the best for the New Year.
I would like to thank you for your friendly and proffessional service. Please thank all of the efficient staff at Sentiments for their kind help and support.
Kevin & David Burton
A big Thank You
Just a short note to say a big thank you to all the people of Sentiments for the work that was done at my mother-in-laws funeral on the 10th November 2008, it was very very nice and the staff was very smart indeed. I do think you are spot on. I had you for my husband when he passed away last year that was the 2nd July 2007. I had Mark he was very good too. I had the black horses they were very nice.
Well thank you very much indeed for everything and I wish you all the best.
B Richman (Mrs)
So very understanding
May I please, through your website, thank most sincerely from the bottom of my heart, Sentiments Funeral Home.
I recently and very suddenly lost my beautiful grandson, Kain at the age of just four years old.
The kindness and compassion you showed to us and the attention to every little request we made and the thoughtfulness throughout, was absolutely second to none.
A particular big thank you goes to Mark, who attended our needs with so much attention to detail.
Mark and all the associates of Sentiments, were truly professional, but at the same time so very understanding.
Mrs Janet Cain

This short note is by way of a seperate and special thanks to you personally.
Thank you for your guidance and attention to detail including your personal and very smart appearance.
Dad would have been proud of you!
Thank you and best wishes

George I would like to say many thanks from us all for all you have done over the past week or so. Everything went perfectly and I will write to Reverend Akins in due course to thank her again.
D & B Garrod
Thank you for all your support and kindness
George, first and foremost to you, and the remainder of your colleagues, thank you for all your support and kindness during this traumatic time of our lives with the passing away of my dad, Les Pollard.
Your supportive manner to my mother during the initial stages of your visit just set the standard throughout. Your choice of the Reverend and Monica for the flowers was spot on. Please pass on my thanks to them. However, it was how you supported my mum after the funeral which will stay with me for a long while to come. You provided guidance and strength when she needed it the most. Again thank you for that.
On behalf of my dad, you all did him justice in his final days, he was a proud man, and you treated him so. He looked superb, again thank you.
If it wouldn’t be to much of an imposition, would it be possible to pop into Sentiments when we next visit Grimsby to say hello?
We both look forward to meeting you again in better circumstances this time.
Mr & Mrs K.L Pollard
Yew Tree Close, Lordswood, Chatham. Kent
Helpful and supportive
Recently, my husband’s cousin’s husband died and, as we had used Sentiments Funeral Home on a previous occasion, we decided to use them again as they were so helpful and supportive the last time.
Once more, the help we had from them was so special I felt I must write to commend them, especially Gary Walters who went beyond just helpful, and was so caring towards the bereaved widow and ourselves.
If anyone needs to use a funeral service we suggest they contact Sentiments who will provide for all their needs.
Jean and Gordon Needham.

I would like to say thank you to you for your kindness and care you gave to Shelly while she was in your care, and the way you have been with the family when they have been to visit her, and helping us deal with the day of Shelly’s funeral. You gave the day great dignity. Along with wonderful and friends support, the day was a sad day but a beautiful day that Chris wanted for her.
A special thank you to Julie for her kindness, she was a great support to Chris and myself when we came to plan the funeral with you. Thank you does not seem to be enough but I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Your slogan says, “say goodbye the way you want to” – thanks to you and the staff at Sentiments we did… perfectly! We will always be grateful for your kind attention to every detail in order to make Harriet’s wishes a memorable reality. Joan’s delivery of the “service” was simply brilliant.
Weeks on, and we still have not stopped talking about the quality of both Sentiments and Joan.
